Yeah Mickey was circus boy.
Mike Nesmith was the director producer after the series.

By the way one reason aside from him being a good folk artist that Stills recommended Peter Tork was they looked a lot alike.... aside from Stills loosing his hair of course....

I have a friend whom I have not seen recently who knows almost all of the interconnections in music. Who worked with whom in what band and so forth. We used to get into discussions and if I could stump him I knew I done good.

It is amazing how many people worked wtih others over the years in those situations that became more famous for their other associations later on. It is interesting when you can go back and listen to someone in an earlier context and see how they developed. Many interconnecting influences.
Some of the studio musicians on the Monkeys project were people like Glen Campbell . Stills I believe and some say Neil Young did some backup.
Joanie Mitchell did some of the writing.
