Yeah I did the extension because of issues with the basis and details brought on by early retirement.
The extension was rejected but that might have been just a clerical error so resubmitted an hour ago.
Now I wait and see if they reject again.
Need to submit state with some payment I believe so need to do that today as well.

Bet I end up paying penalties and so forth thanks to a screwed up tax system that has no room to fix problems without the feds and the state grabbing more money than they deserve as usual.

Hey at least this year I get to give them some money unlke most other years when I did not even reach the poverty level thanks to overregulation and other crap screwing up the economy so oly the people who don't need the money can afford to even do their taxes.

Somehow they really need to do tax reform. this putting it off and passing the costs on to the next generation is getting old after fifty years of failure to do anything.

I remember that they used to say it would take 100 people thirty years just to read the tax code much less actualy apply it. bet now it has quadrupled since that thirty year old observation.
