Next game is a must win for the Devils or they go home till next season in second place again.

Three in a row by the kings seems to be a pattern right now.

If they played the last level the same way they are playing now I can see why.

Looks like they got that Gretsky awareness of what is going on on the ice working for them and seem to pop up in the right spot most of the time.

On the other hand one of their coaches should be working for the Olympic diving team judging by the number of quick falls to the ice with little or no contact I saw last night and at least one of those resulted in a penalty that brought on a goal.

Also seems like they took a page from Bobby Clarkes playbook on giving out bad shots once the ref is looking in the other direction. Lots of quick trips by stick when the official could not see what is going on and a lot of flying elbows out ther behind the play. That was one of the things that used to stop the Devils when they played Philly back in the Clarke days ( not to mention the push goal that sealed one playoff match directed by a glove I think but maybe it weas a skate blade just not using a stick. That was the one where bobby jumped over the goalie into the crease and directed the puck into the net vilolating both the integrity of the crease after taking out the goalie and not using the stick.... but it worked thanks to the quick hand on the goal alarm by the pophilly employee who had it going before the puck even hit the back of the net ).

Also did not help when the official failed to blow the whistle when the puck was under Brodeurs pad and out of sight long enough for the call before he was pushed out of position which released the puck letting the player doing the pushing tap in the puck.
Should have been 2 to no0thing not four to nothing and might have been closer if there was less funny biz going on and more hockey.
However LA did win so not much use for the rant I guess and now w must win to get back to home ice with at least one game on the board.

Odds not good last comeback from theree down to win was back in the fourties and it was the sole and only time that was ever done.
Other teams who began a comeback never got past that fact that the other team only eed to win one to take the series and the cup......

But it woud be nice to see it happen again since I think it was back in 48 maybe that the last one occurred so no one other than the people in the arena actually saw the whole series that time.

b lol
