You too Craig if it comes in where they say it will it could head right for where you are.
We will most likely be to the north of the center so more rain and wind initially then less rain but plenty of wind.
Storm is now five hundred miles wide and will affect everything east of the mississippi with few exceptions. Might not be too bad up in NE but the strong winds will be up that way and coastal is gonna be a bitch for enyone to the north.
Another perfect storm scenario like 91 but coming ashore this time not out into the north atlantic.

Can't remember the year but think we had a 'cane come ashore in jersey in my lifetime. it cut through the center of Long Beach Island between the two houses designed/built by Frank Lloyd Wright or maybe one of his protoge's .
One was on the bay and one on the ocean and they both survived but the land in between owned by the family who built the two houses became a new channel between the bay and the ocean both from wave action as the water came in and water retreating from the bay as it went out.

I wonder what will happen down there this time around.

Watch out for the trees and limbs and inlflate you liferaft if the rain gets up around a foot or so.
No water problems here other than gorund saturation coming into the basement maybe and what might happen to tree roots. More worried about the dead limbs over my roof that I could not get tree crew in to remove yet because there were thre or four construction projects taking place all summer and into the fall here so the roads were pretty blocked with service vehicles most of the time owned by the construction guys.
Also hoping nothing comes down and crushes my car or the new ( to me ) van I was just given.... Both are mid 90s vehicles so not covered for damage to the car or the van meaning if they get taken out I need to get something new again.
