I'm not on FaceBook, and I check in here regularly. Perhaps a roll call is in order! OK, time to stop lurking! Post here with something new. For me, I've been working as a contractor for about a year now. My first was with an odd little insurance company helping them create a project management system. How odd, you ask? They acquire reinsurance companies which are in runoff, and then manage them as they go out of business. Past premiums received, minus claim payments plus cost of running the business, equals profit! That was followed in February with my working at Dell (the computer company) in Nashua as project manager on several "Software as a Service" (SaaS) products. I had always said that I didn't want to be a contractor, didn't do "IT", and didn't work on software-only products. Now, I've done all three. I've met dozens of people lately all doing things for work that they never expected to be doing. New paradigms abound. Funny ole world.
