Joe ("Jeff") McEnaney here. FC '71-'75, degree in ceramics, student and devotee of Phil Homes and Pat Martelino. Stayed around the Lisbon area after graduation and taught ceramics at the College for the last semester of '77. Left New Hampshire for Nevada in '78 and started work on drill rigs with the idea of saving money to pursue a graduate degree. That plan changed during the Carter recession and I've been in the mining business ever since.
I'm not nostalgic for the College and I don't think I was wondrously enlightened or otherwise transformed by my FC experience (though I envy those that were) and if anything, I left with the worst of my behaviors more deeply ingrained. Thankfully, the turns and tumble of life have knocked the roughest edges off.
I do feel a strong connection with all who attended FC simply because there are so few of us and we are of a certain point in time. Remarkably, I live only a few miles from two of my best friends from FC and it's a great comfort to have people who understand nearby. Otherwise, many of the people I miss or remember fondly are on the RIP list.
Being a societal drop-out at heart, I steer clear of FB.
Best wishes to all.
