Sometimes I can almost understand your posts DJam. when I do I wonder if I need to worry or have reached the next plane of enlightenment.

Pres Jackson liked the banks by the way just not the USA national bank.
he waited till congress was in recess then ordered the treasury secretary to take all the US money out of the national bank and put it in private banks spread around the country ( rumor was they were freiends of his but that was a rumor so no backup info to share ) .
Tresury sec refused... he fired him then ordered the next one to do it... he refused... eventually he found one who did it and congress was pissed as hell he did it but his popularity made it impossible to do anything about it after the fact.
WHile congress raised the money through taxes and fees ( original taxes were on imports and fees as designated for whatever was legislated , hence the whiskey rebellion , and congress imposing taxes on the same things the libertty boys rioted about pre revolution ... hey they had an enourmous national debt after the revolution and needed to pay off the creditors ) , the executive branch controlled the treaasury. No one up to then even considered that the president would take the countries money out of the countrys own bank and give it to the private banks to use ( my how things changed over the years ).
