Well maybe someone else who is still showing up here will remember when.

Ping Pong in the Lounge sort of limits the time frame of course so might have been while I was there but not when I was in the lounge.

Closing the notch is the sort of thing FC would have come up with. Sounds like a good idea but whenever someone was in trouble on the cliffs they had hundreds of people stopping in the notch to watch what was going on and it would probably not have even been considered an unusual thing for all traffic to be stopped for a while until they came and collected everyone.

Now the storming of the Pentagon was a real protest that was a clear message .
Al engleman said that the government had people in the crowd instigating things while there were people on the roof coordinating response. an inside outside job because they knew about it before it took place from agents inside the anti war movement.
In case you were not aware there were also upwards of 100,000 troops in the area that could have come in in a short time frame if things got out of hand. That would have been another chapter in DC history much like the soldiers incident post ww I when they sent in the troops to clear out the protestors who just wanted their bonus money early thanks to the poor economic conditions at the time.

What goes around comes around or to quote the good book.

"there is nothing new under the sun "

Liked the longe scene , too bad it got eliminated for the library renovation.
