True in my first year at FC I was among the few who were there most of the time.
The majority it seems went to the core lectur on Wednesday and maybe the core classroom for the discussion then left for the weekend by dinnertime or the next morning.
Weekends of course ended just before the dinner hour on Tuesday so that they could be there for the next mornings core lecture then repeat the cycle.
Obviously there were not that many people at the community meetings other than those who had no way to leave for the extended weekend or who just happened to be interested in academics other than the core program or already had figured out what they wanted to do at the college so had something planned for which they needed to be there.
Of course any upper division people who were not on outreach had a different schedule which was much more flexible but alos much more organised.

And Yes Lori is right there were often movies before a community meeting even back when I first came to FC. there were also regular movie programs that chose a subject to show and some of them were also for credit if you were in the right course.
When I took Al Englemans course we went to all the community meetings that semester. It was part of the curriculum for his courses which often studied both the interactions and the methodologies of political activities. If you don't think those meetings were political you must have missed the whole point....
