What a happy-go-lucky guy.
We became good friends during our first year in 1966. We were both on the basketball team and had some good times on road trips to other schools. I last saw Artis in the summer of 1968 when he was visiting family in Philly. We had a great day just tooling around and playing some round ball at my high school. I heard about his untimely death from Tic Ward in 2000 just before the big reunion.
