A newly minted EMT in Tucson 1980 I volunteered on ambulance during a 1980 tritium spill, seems Gov.Co. was making nuclear bomb triggers within the city limits, paying people a whole dollar above min. wage They had a blow out, vented gas that drifted to the S.side of town contaminating $3M of school dept food and participation of @500 miscarriages that one week....easy to ignore the south side mostly hispanic poor. A story that would make a good. book. Most of the contaminant buried 40 ft under ground neat and SO CLEAN.
