...congratulations on your fabulous good luck. I was off and on campus by 68-69, doing Upper Division work in Cambridge MA, and only returned for occasional work with my advisor, Nick Howe.

After the Ruopp massacre, the school seemed to me to lose its focus and coherence, and I allowed it to drift away from me as I drifted away from it - although I did spend most to the summer of 68 in Bethlehem, living on Cherry Valley Road with Justin Fingado, Barbara Batt and their excellent collection of eccentrics. That was a beautiful summer.
