Jefferson's Children: Education and The Promise of American Culture / by Leon Botstein. I am still waiting for Leon to revolutionized American high schools. He has great ideas, but to implement them that's another story. I still have his note regarding the publication of Franconians in Print. I wish I had taken a class with Leon while I was at Franconia. My one and only complaint about Franconia, was that there wasn't absolutely no guidance in forming your education. You chose from the menu, whatever appealed to you at that time. No one cared about building foundations in learning.
