The State of Hawaii says he was born there, that should be good enough. Birthers claim that the COLB that the Obama campaign had shown during the run-up to the election is a photoshopped fake. The State of Hawaii says otherwise. Now the birthers have pretty much stopped disputing the authenticity of the COLB and are now claiming that Obama isn't
a natural born citizen because his father wasn't a U.S. citizen and that "jus soli" citizenship requires BOTH parents
to be U.S. citizens. Much of this nonsense comes from Joseph Farah, owner of the right-wing wacko site "World Net Daily."
Farah was unhappy with the '08 election results and has tried to use the birther issue to get the election results nullified.
