I remember that Craig. though I was not there in 66/67 Tony Booth told me about his accident with the slalom poles someone had left up overnight that got frozen into the slope and caused his shattered leg bones.
In 67/68 there were record snowfalls and I think that was the year that Cannon was calling everyone in the area to let them ski free because the machinery could not prepare the slopes because of the excess snowfall. The college cleaned out for the day and all classes were cancelled as everyone in the area went to the slopes. I was not skiing then but when people came back they were saying it was like the back side of Aspen with deep powder snow like they have there which requires people to ski differently than on the usual snow pack.
