Tony Booth Craig. Booth, Anthony Barton in the big list of names. His moms house was on the Dow side of town and the day after the Olympic qualifications runs when Jean Claude Killy was on Cannon mountain he injured himself trying to do the slalom run. They had cut saplings from the woods to set up the course and no one took down the poles after the runs were over and they froze into the snowpack so tightly that they were immoveable. Tony caught an edge on one partway down the run and his ski stopped dead while he continued on so he shattered the leg bones in that leg.
Fortunate for him the top bone expert was still at MAry Hitchcock and had not left after the qualifying heats were over so they put his leg back together with internal bone casts that dissolve as the bone knits itself back together again. He did have two I believe pins or screws in the leg and was in a half body cast for a while then a full leg cast followed by a half leg cast and attended the college classes while he was healing up. Once he was healed he took a year off after getting back in shape and followed the snow around the globe skiing some of the top slopes much as the surfers did in that film when they followed the big waves.
Tony had the silver firebird formula HO which he could not drive until his leg was healed again because of the casts and because it was stick shift of course.
Tony was also an Olympic hopeful who might have had a shot had he not had the accident and I lost track of him when he did the round the world trip which was probably in 69 or maybe 70.
