Yes it was a putting practice area back in the fifties and before at least while the hotel was still in operation. Not sure if it survived the short time the hotel school was operating on campus or not. This is where the hand ball court was located during our time at FC and I think it was still an open grassy area before that was put in place that maybe was also used as parking though that might not have been official.
