Sorry to hear of his passing and in general agreement with what has been said about Larry as a president of the school.
I believe his major accomplishment in that capacity may have been the fundraising trip he took with his family that cost more money than was raised. Before he was made president there was not much to say about him in one way or the other , a rather unassuming and not so bright light on the academic front of the college who probably was better at not making waves than any other skill he may have had. It was while he was president that he became unpopular though because he did the bidding of the Board after we lost a gifted and popular president. And yes he really did help the decline of the college which never really recovered though there were a few bright spots in the future before the eventual destruction by letting the wrong people run the operation in the last years and final days.
