I am disappointed not to have the opportunity to visit with old friends. I hope those who attend will have a wonderful time, and I'm sad not to be able to be a part of that.

I noted my "regrets" because I have always believed that it is polite to do so.

It's also my hope that others who might have enjoyed visiting at the reunion will be inspired - as I am - to make the effort to make alternative plans to get together. Of course, I'll pursue that independently, but I thought posting it here was a good way to reach a large number of people.

I think it is disappointing that some folks will not be able to attend. Don't you agree, Win? I'm fortunate, in that I'm unable to attend for a happy reason, rather than because of the difficulty, expense, or because of other unfortunate limitations.

I hope Lori's idea that those who are able will help those who would like to attend but who have problems - as some did for particular friends who had problems attending in 2000 - once again. I'd hope, as an "organizer" of this event, you'd be encouraging that?

Anyway, I won't be making this one, and I'll be in the great Northwest from about 8/18-8/31. I hope maybe I can make a connection with Art Wang when I'm in the Seattle area after he returns from Franconia. Any other FCers out there who are going to be around who'd like a visit will, I hope, speak up. You can contact me via e-mail at the address provided above (minus the "n0*spam" part, of course).
