I don't think it's that people are scared of change Win the facebook thing seems to be one where some like it and some just don't so do not participate.
Seems to be getting easier to use all the time though and might eventually be less cumbersome and more user friendly.
If the forum is pirate radio then it's also piopneer radio and it's only drawback is that it is not really something that draws people from all over , which is a good thing in that it does seem to still draw in the occasional FC community member who happens to find it and reconnects.
Facebook and the social network providers do connect people and some find their way back through that avenue but this site and forum are a direct link.

It's also a lot more like the community meeting when it is functioning well and there is a lot less pressure if you want to unload memories through something like this forum than through the social networks.

Don't know if it's a fad over there but if it is it will no doubt be a long running one.
