My sympathies.

I remember when Kevin was doing that painting - or it may have been another one from the series (I think he did several of circles of dancers). It's a wonderful, lively work.

It was tied thematically to his show in Bennington that included what he proudly billed as the world's longest continuous string of hand-cut paper dolls, a circle of dancers more than 80 feet long, as I remember, stretched all around (more than once) the perimeter of the local Art Center where it was exhibited.

He had a good friend - maybe a room-mate? - who worked for the Banner, and he got roll ends from the newsprint rolls and cut for months - not the folded dolls, but each one individually hand shaped. It was wonderfully whimsical and expressive of the life-dance Kevin threw himself into with such wonderful and reckless abandon.
