Arthur I was gone by the fall semester of 73 , well I was still in the area and did do printing for some of the students when asked to do that but was working for Troll Press then the courrier til I left the area in 74.
WHen I was on campus after graduation I didn't see much change in the student M/F ratio at that time and do not know what it was later on.
I do know that when I came there was an active attempt to encourage more female students to sign up to try and get a better ratio. My first year I believe it was five guys to each gal on campus and maybe it improved to something like a three to one ratio. I think it may have had some relationship to the draft situation but was also affected by both the climate and the rather rural situation. A lot of women who would have probably matriculated if FC was in a more urban location didn't like the lack of amenities and went elsewhere. Obviously there were plenty of choices for women since the same mismatch of males to females was prevalent in ALL colleges and universities of the time with guys looking for that deferment for education to try and not get drafted.
In a way the fact that we were both rather rural and liberal as well as out in the woods meant we got a class of ladies that were somewhat above the cut of the norm in many ways. More self reliant , smarter , less dependent and musch better company than a lot of the women I kew who went to other lessexotic schools , not that those women were below average but they were less adventurous and more conservative in many ways than our fellow franconians.
I really do not remember any " bubbleheads " , or whatever, and if one of the girls seemed to act like one they were really " acting " .....
Lots of sharp ladies in the crowd.

Just my opinion of course others might disagree.
