The big 3 put themselves in this position many many years ago. The american auto workers were strike happy and were demanding more and more. So the companies were giving them more and more to keep the lines moving. Now those folks are getting near retirement and guess what...no money left folks. The american auto worker were over paid and benefits up the yang. Now lets talk about the mid 70's and where is the gas? And along came the rice burners and the american public now found out that the american auto manufactures were building and selling crap. Well its been a long time coming and now its here.
