Subject: The John Bell Williams Fan Club....

John Bell Williams was the last avowedly racist governor (1968 - 1972) of Mississippi. He mentored Trent
Lott after the aspiring politician graduated from law school
in 1967 and apparently Lott picked up the finesse of
a racist politician from Williams. Williams called the day
when the supreme court handed down Brown in 1954,
Black Monday.
Williams later ranted, I not going to
let those jew bastards in Washington tell us how to run our
schools.
During his tenure as governor, he repeatedly
said, The south won't be great again until slavery is
restored.

No doubt the people who write this racist babble which seems to be polluting the net a bit more since the election hold up people like Williams, Lester Maddox, Orville Faubus, and
all assortment of conferate generals and slave traders as
their heros. They bubble up on righty blog sites posting
this nonsense while speaking of being true patriots. Most of them probably don't wear hoods, burn crosses, or do lynchings but they
like to think they could do that and even make veiled threats of such actions. That sort of thing has always been around, perhaps it's simply post-election sour grapes
that tends to make it more visable.

....Fred
