...like many dear friends and sweet hearts who didn't make it this far along the path.

Eileen deserves to be remembered and we owe it to her memory and that of all the others to live the lives they never got to live, to share our joy and thanksgiving with their memories.

Although life inevitably ends, it equally inevitably goes on and on and on... and those of us who go with it remain connected to those who touched us but have "dropped-out" in a pretty convincing way.

Eileen was a kind heart and smart as a whip, with a devilish sense of humor that came out of unexpected (by me) places. I'll certainly raise a glass to her - and many other "absent friends" - with love and gratitude for the times I shared - and am still sharing - with them.

But while you're enjoying your time off, maybe you should think "WWED" and find something a little more creative and challenging than Court TV? Put on a disc of medieval carols, warm up a foaming cup of mead with an egg in it by the fire, roast a couple of chestnuts, and find someone to whom you can read Chaucer aloud!

However you choose to do it, Happy holidays! And that goes for everybody here.
