Quite a statement about the importance of facts and openness from a fellow with no name.

Sure, it was a snide and possibly groundless swipe to imply that your professional credentials are less than top flight. However, I (and others who have mentioned your posts to me) have no way of knowing if whatever you say of yourself has any shadow of veracity.

Certainly, most of the statements you make about the world are palpably and demonstrably false, so is it so far a stretch to think that other implied statements of yours might be equally inflated? How would I know? Maybe you still drive a tow truck. Actually, that would be fine, hell; I used to drive a Library Book Mobile. But you can't plead 'public record' and hide behind a pseudonym at the same time.

Once you launch upon invective, your range of attacks in broad, but unfortunately all rather ill aimed. Let's look at some of them:

Apparently, from your argument, the value of utterances is gauged in inverse proportion to distance from the Capitol Dome. You are 1200 miles away and I am 1 mile away. It is an interesting proposition; is it more broadly applicable?

You seem to imply that I "carry water for the feds", whatever that may mean. I don't work for the US Government (and have never worked for any government in the US) and don't work for any government contractors. Perhaps I am an unwitting dupe of the government/military/industrial machine? If they have me working for them then we are in more trouble than anyone has suspected... This charge seems to be a random jab on your part.

According to you, I'm supposed to be an "infant smearing poop on the walls of his crib", a "cheap ass community meeting parliamentary trick[ster]", and a "a tin pot Fuhrer"? All at the same time? How's that suppose to work?

Actually it sounds like a classic 'bucket of slop' case: throw it all at me and see what sticks. Maybe you are a lawyer after all....

As to Rick as a straw man; well, I had been conversing with him before you joined the thread, and I was just pointing out that his vocabulary is more colorful than yours, and that you are (usually) a lot more careful in your name calling. It was all well in line with the case I was building about your 'reasonable' persona, and what I was alleging it concealed.

This post of yours fits that pattern too; I called you out and you hit back hard: hard, but not too effectively. I guess you were flustered by my match book crack, and began raining blows left and right. Maybe I was wrong, I probably gave you too much credit for cold calculation. I think my characterization of the general pattern of your practice is still correct.

Okay, so we have had this out, and we have said our bits. Can we go back to being friends?
