GM, Ford, and Chrysler will probably get a $50 billion
handout regardless of the election outcome in November.
The industry has been lobbying hard for this stating they
need the funds to develop "competitive" products like plug-in
hybrids and other fuel-efficient vehicles. Of course, it
leaves some people wondering, if Toyota and Honda can bring
hybrids to the market without massive government subsidies,
why can't the U.S. industry do the same?
