Both sides are doing the rude interruption bit, because the "news" divisions no longer have the ability to search out the truth independently, but have degenerated into "Jerry Springer" shouting matches - valuing entertainment and conflict rather than actual analysis.
For every rude Republican, there is an equally rude Democrat, and nothing is gained by the exchange.

The networks put more effort into "Entertainment Tonight" and "reality" shows than into in depth presentation of issues. Edward R. Murrow did a landmark program on migrant workers called the "Harvest of Shame" in the late 1950's but now when you look at the talk shows and shouting matches, we get this every day.

When either side starts interrupting and repeatedly spouting the party line talking points, turn them off. The Big Lie (from either side) only works if you listen to it often enough. Both sides have their Propaganda Ministries, which put out their daily talking points which by the end of the day will have been broadcast many times.

Pogo was right - we allow this to happen by encouraging the networks.
