One thing I learned a long time ago was that tenants have no rights a landowner is bound to respect. I say that as a person who grew up in rental housing, and lived in rental housing most of my life except for about three of my sixty years.

I'm not saying I don't deplore the situation, but what you're pointing to serves to support what I've been sayingc all along. Your debt strike would merely put more renters out on the streets.
