Holland's Olympic and world champion Leontien Zijlaard-Van Moorsel rode 46.065 kilometres to beat the world hour record held by France's Jeannie Longo on Wednesday.

Cycling's world governing body, the UCI, originally gave the distance as 46.397 kilometres but said there was a mistake in the measuring.

Longo, 44, set the previous world record of 45.094 kilometres on the same track (Mexico) in December 2000.
