I'm late in posting but here's my take:

Wasn't too crazy initially about TPTB going this route (almost backwards, it seemed) but the pairing seems great given the point these two characters have reached in their respective lives. I think they both still act on impulse but both have grown tremendously, especially Luka, who really seems at peace with himself. (Not that I'll turn down any of those smoldering looks he gives when he's annoyed with someone! They've become his trademark!) Seeing him smile and laugh has been really great. It will be interestng to see how he and Abby handle this turn of events. I can't imagine that he won't be thrilled, especially given what he told Sam during the season opener. ("I don't want what happened to my family to be the end of my story." It set this storyline up well.)

Great season overall! I'd like to see more happening w/Sam and Pratt (not necessarily together, either!) How about Sam/Dubenko? Now there's some food for thought....
