GV wasn't fighting against Slovenia, but against serbs . Serbia didn't like the idea of Croatia as an independent and democratic country. They wanted Slovenia and parts of Croatia and Bosnia to be a part of a «great Serbia». After Croatia left Yugoslavia, other countrys did the same. You have NO idea of what was going on here.
