Date Posted: 10:10:40 08/04/03 Mon So I generally don't want to intrude on actor's real lives by obsessively reading every scrap of material on their personal lives and contributing to their lack of privacy and such. THAT SAID... I have read a few interviews with G.V. in which he refers to the skeptics who (apparently) thought his marriage was a power play - and what was VERY interesting to me is that he always speaks as if people assumed HE was marrying HER to get ahead. That made me realize how completely out of touch I am with Croation culture - to me, Ivana is a beautiful, presumably charming and funny gal who married my tv boyfriend. In Croatia, apparently, she's a well-known figure - even more well-known than G.V. - so much so that people thought he may be riding her coattails. Anyway, it was so nice to read. It made me feel like such a shallow American to realize that I had assumed the irresistably handsome movie star was the more notable public figure of the couple.
