That would be alright if the race date was set more than 4 days before the night it is going to happen. We had schedule the nights that we were going to race before the season ever started. All of a sudden the whole schedule was changed. Now everyone wants the night that is added with less than a weeks notice to be a points night. That will drive cars away quicker than it not counting for points. As far as racing for no points, isn't that what everyone is doing when they run at Hugoton, and Liberal? Now nobody can say that they won't race if they don't get points.
This problem wouldn't have been there if the dates that were set at the beginning weren't changed. I'm not saying that Garden shouldn't have worked with the Hugoton people, but it seems that every year Garden always waits on somebody else, or changes the dates to work someone and always gets into a pinch. Garden had set dates and left dates open for Liberal. It was my understanding that the dates were agreed upon by all parties. How come all of a sudden those dates wouldn't work.
I say that once a schedule is set let it be. We have gotten where we don't even care to race anymore with all the B.S. and date changing.
I hope that some of the ones that are complaining are willing to step up and take on some of the thankless jobs that are being stacked on Dave's shoulders. It sounds like the little bit of help that he had is bailing out on him.
Dave you are doing a great job . Don't let all the B.S. get you down. Take a week or 2 off and see if anyone steps up to help or if there is a track worth racing on.
That's my two cents worth take it for what you want.
