Garden City has already posted that we will make up our outlaw race rainout date on the 23rd of Sept. This was posted on the 19th of Aug. Garden City did not cancel any races. We just made our weekly into a Outlaw race to make up for the rainout. At Garden City if we do not have 25 cars to race, we do not make enough money to cover our expenses for racing. I talked to Jack yesterday in great length about seeing if we could do anything this weekend. We did not see anyway we could get enough cars to race to cover our expenses. I believe this is the same problem with Liberal.

Everyone always seems to be able to get on the forum and have some smart remark about how they want things done, but does anyone realize how much work goes into getting a race going. There is probably at lest 20-30 hours a week spent by volunteers to put on a race. This includes track prep, accounting, mowing, cleaning bathrooms, etc. Until this year I did not know how much work it was and the time that it takes. I don't mind doing the work, and neither do the handful of volunteers that we have. However, it is all of the nonsense that we go thru that is the hardest on us. We are all just racers that want a place to race and have fun.

The race this weekend was to be weekly show. They had planned on being out of town for a race since the begining of the season. I know that there was a rainout for Liberals race and it needs to be made up. How would you make up race and be fair. Remember you need to treat people the way you would expect to be treated.

This response is in no way pointed at one person. I just put it under Mals' post. I am not speaking for Shane or any of the officers for Garden.
