Thought this might help you guys out on your decision...this is directly from Mike Dicely at hyperracing.com

3/8 mile tracks in my opinion are boring to drive on, but a lot of guys like 'em. Horsepower is more of a factor on the larger tracks.
It is definately harder on the engine on the bigger track.
