I ran stock cars. I have driven at almost every track in Southwest Kansas including the OLD track in Dodge so that will tell you I've been around awhile. I do have few trophies on the shelf including feature wins and points championships. I thought if I had a dollar (inflation you know) for everytime I heard "Rules are written in concrete", I would run another year. (costs money) I came to the understanding that promoters like to promise the world then when reality sets in they will do about anything to cover their butts. The only time rules should be changed during the season would be if it involved a safety issue. You just put your local drivers at a disadvantage 3 days before the race. Remember these are the guys that you are wanting week-in and week-out to keep your track open, not the out-of-towners. So now you are saying to yourself "Gee I've already told the out-of-towners they could come and run, but now I have the locals upset". My oh my what do to. Good luck Mr. Promoter you will need it.
