Subject: BTVS Episode 24 "Surprise"

ok i thought we could get started on our episode talk...so my first pick is season 2's "Surprise" it's another Buffy birthday gone wrong episode, it's sad dramatic and comicall...back in the day when Spike and Dru were a great team and bad...but what this epi points out for them is when the judge gets all put together thanks to Dru, he notes they reek of human qualities...a bit of forshadowing perhaps? by this I mean, vampires don't love yet Spike and Dru loved one another, it's also a classic showing of Dru's craziness and her power...i really liked this episode a lot being as it also has some wonderful tender B/A moments, we finally see their love and devotion after they tried so hard to fight it, they share that one moment of hapiness and we know what happens to poor Angel next...oh at the end, knowing what I know now, rewatching it, when he screams out Buffy's name like that, it tugs at the heart strings...

ok this being my day off i got out the dvd and watched this episode...i'd forgotten how nice this one was...a typical buffy birthday, the episode that really hooked me on B/A in the beginning...we got to see their true feelings come out finally...and the judge concept with the reattaching his scattered body parts from around the world, a good one oh and this was back in the day we didn't know Oz was a wolf...lol B/A foreeva!!

I loved this episode, Spike/Dru a great couple they made all be it an evil one...this one showed the pain and love B/A shared and it had Jenny in it before they made her a grayish character...I liked Jenny

great pick there mate...i liked this episode also, one of the best in season 2 in my opinion...Spike/Dru, they had great chemestry together as did B/A, these couples would have been the perfect ending for me with a little W/T wishful dreaming or W/F or even W/Anya ooohh the memories...sniff sniff
