Subject: Episode 49 "Dopplegangland"

Dopplegangland episode 49, writen by Jos Weden

This is a classic episode and a brilliant one stuck in the middle of the wonderfully masterful season 3!

We have everyone on Willow, Snyder making her tutor Percy, Percy not being grateful. Oz not inviting her to gigs because she may not want to miss school then Buffy and Xander calling her old reliable.

We have Anyanka who was stripped of her powers by goat-faced boss 'D'Hoffryn for allowing the alter Giles to destroy her in "the wish"

We have Faith being moved out of the dumpy motel and into some nice digs given to her by the mayor. He acts like a doating daddy to her int his one, it's twisted and sick as he's evil but it's cute on the other hand. These two worked great together.

So you take all this and you get, Willow helping Anyanka with a spell, it backfires, we get an evil vampire Willow who is all in leather and kicking ass! She gets to get hold of Cordy, slap percy around, lead Angel around like a puppy and oh yeah, she gets to lick her human counter-part.

Aly Hannigan was great in this one as she always is and it's a fan favorite episode. So get in the way back machine, rewatch it if you can, lets discuss one of the best "Dopplegangland"

i loved this episode...Willow licking herself well her neck...lol sorry if that sounded bad but Angel showing his care for allt he scoobies in his shock over Willow's death although i think it's in the library, when he does the doubletake, watch, you can see the blooper...I liked the mayor int his, such an evil man yet such a soft spot for a girl who is alone and no one to care...i think Faith and the mayor were one of the best deuo's on the show...anyway this episode was fantastic, one of the top knotch ones of the entire series.

loved this ep! rewatched it witht he wife last night...Willow was fabulous in it, I liked how Buffy stopped Angel fromt elling Willow the truth...I always wondered about her character, but when I watched this epi for the first time, I knew she'd be saying "gay now" very soon...nice episode, one of the best...Anya is such a great character and it sucks she never got to kill 'd'Hoffryn for what he did to her.

I agree witha ll that has been said...this was a masterfully writen episode...and very much so forshadowing as to Willow's sexuality...even more so now that, years later, Joss tells us it was planned for her to be gay all along...I love watching this episode as I do most of season 3...it truly was thee classic season of BTVS

one of my all time favorite episodes...season three has a few of those...willow was great in this one and i did see the doubletake mistake from Angel
