I am now the owner of my first SUV. I bought a '99 Chevy s-10 Blazer LS. 4wd, electric seats/windows/etc., cruise, air, towing package etc. I bought it private party with 100K miles on it.

This thing is amazing. The PO was meticulous about taking care of it. The engine was cleaner than any used car you find at a dealer and he provided me a stack of papers, every maintenance record right down to oil changes since it was new. He always had it professionally serviced at the dealer. Right before I bought it, he had a squeak in the fan belt, a new one didn't stop it, so he had every pulley replaced to include new A/c pump and new alternator, just to quiet down the squeak.

When I first test drove it, there was a very minor shake in the wheel, I assumed it was a wheel off balance a little, easy fix. Even after he knew I was going to buy it, he had the shake checked out...he said it was a u-joint, so he paid to have every u-joint replaced just so there wouldn't be any problems for me with any of them. If I'm selling a car, I'm not going to put that kind of money into it after I find a buyer.

Oh, and I gt it for $3500.

I am now a SUV owner. My first one.
