Hey Jarlaxle, long time no see. I tend to forget to check here often enough.

I say go for it, but why not just get a truckload of tin roofing and roll your own?

Years ago, I saw a Japanese pickup that had rusted out as usual, whose owner had redone almost the entire body in diamond-plate aluminum, cut, bolted and riveted. Flat fenders, hood, doors and all. About all that was left of the original was the roof pillars and window frames. It looked like something out of a Mad Max movie, but it worked.

Seriously, though, a Bummer sounds like great fun, especially if you can end up with a viable vehicle for a twentieth the price.
