I really figured, back when I first started driving, that once I was working in a (pretty much) career position, I wouldn't ever really need to worry about fuel consumption overall as a limit to my budget, but those days seem to be gone.

My band rehearses 2x a week at 73mi round trip, in the opposite direction from where I work, which is thankfully a 32mi round trip. I am about to start working with an additional band (temporarily) that is coincidentally about 73mi round trip from my house, in a direction pretty much perpendicular to my work commute and other band commute.. Fuck me..
