That definitely sounds like the deal for you. I've been reluctant to make the change simply because the only entities so far pushing it strongly to me have been Vonage & ComCRAP and I still can't bring myself to trust them.

I've been eagerly awaiting Verizon's FiOS service, for which infrastructure has been laid lo these past 5 - 6 months. They FINALLY made the necessary franchise agreements with my municipality just recently, so I'm getting hooked up on 2007/03/01. I believe this is going to give me defacto VOIP, because I think once the FiOS is run to your house, Verizon will REQUIRE phone service to be migrated over as well. We'll see what happens besides the somewhat drastic, if temporary, drop in my monthly bills for telecomm...
