I agree with Colleen completely. Even though the news of an inheritance of a family disease may bring anxiety and feelings of guilt or depression, I feel that children should be informed about the possibilities of inheriting the disease. I also feel that family members should have a say in genetic testing because they have every right to know if they will have the genetic disease. Along with the knowledge of having the disease from genetic testing, you may also prepare yourself for future complications o the disease and also research the disease further to see what the symptoms are and which treatments are offered if any.
