Well I consider myself an existentialist and maybe I am not deliriously happy but I am more or less satisfied with my life. I don’t think viewing life as essentially meaningless (in a grand eternal way) means you cannot achieve some level of happiness. I think the issue is more that happy characters do not make for very gripping drama. I want Joss to finally let Buffy find some peace and move on to new characters. The poor girl has been through enough.
