I think Voll's "patriotism" was genuine enough, its probably the reason he got involved with the mysterious Twilight organisation. Roden's apparently differing motivation doesn't mean they can't play for the same team.
Also, I didn't get that Faith is no longer connected to the Council, she's always been more of a loner and I believe that still to be the case. While she is working with Robin's group, she prefers to go it alone for the majority of the time.
