Anya said that a stake through the heart would kill a UV but that their skin was so tough that it would amount to driving straw through steel (or something akin to that). I think most of the UV killing involved decapitation, especially with the scythe. I see no indication that Anya had discovered any new secret manner in which to kill the UV's. I grow weary shooting down all the wanks as it is pointless yet I feel compelled to continue to play.
