I always thought that it was a mater of knowing your enemy, that through experience and data digging by Anya they had gathered vital information on how to defeat the UV. like real vampires, the biggest strength they have is that most people try to kill them in ways that would stop a normal living human. now if you know their weak point they're a lot easier to defeat. I always thought that most of the UV's were weaker ones but also that they have figured out exactly where their weak point was, specificly i thought the heart. ANya says that a stake through the heart could kill one, but buffy staked the first one and it didn't die, how? i assumed that meant that the UV had its heart in a diffrent place than humans do (such as The Rump). in the end battle maybe everyone knows to aim lower than your normally would on a real vampire, or aim more to the left or in the gut or what have you. just my idea, i'd have to watch it agian to see if that fits
