I absolutely love Drusilla but I cannot make heads or tails of much of what she says. Possibly a failure of imagination on my part but I am hardly along in that regard. Certainly Spike (and who knows Dru better than Spike?) often voiced the opinion that Dru was not all there. I would welcome any clarification and interpretation of any of the many seemingly nonsense ravings of Drusilla.

As far as lucidity being in the mind of the beholder: A person (or unperson in Dru’s case) is engaging in conversation and I assume trying to convey something to another entity. If that entity has absolutely no idea what you are saying, then you are failing at communication. The Merriam Webster definition of lucid is (at least in part): clear to the understanding :INTELLIGIBLE. If a reasonably sane and informed listener has no idea what is being said (see general reaction of Darla, Spike et al) then I can't really see how this would qualify as lucid. I know it is fashionable to treat every village idiot as if they were an incipient Einstein (full blown equality run amok) but if the blathering of any idiot is considered insightful and lucid, then the terms insightful and lucid lose all meaning.
