The episode started with Bernard wanting to do something to get off the island. Rose seems to hamper him at every step, but she had told a lie in Australia. That lie caused the frenzy of activity that caused Rose to say to Bernard the words in my subject line. She knew something he didn't know and that lack of knowing caused him a great deal of stress.

Did Eko mean what he said in only a Christian way? Maybe, but when we hear things people say we kinda choose the meaning and hopefully it matches with the intent. Bernard was driving his Lost friends crazy with this SOS he wanted to make. Eko and Rose pointed out something about being saved and just being. Bernard couldn't understand til Rose filled in the missing bit of information. She feels that the island has healed her, and Locke shares that one thing with her. They have both been in a way saved, making Ekos statement true, there are many ways to be saved.

Why I love this couple is what Bernard says when he knows everything:

BERNARD: You don't want to be rescued, do you? You think if you leave it'll come back. And if you can't leave, neither can I. We won't ever leave Rose.

Love means more than the sexual side of things. There may be the sexual tension with some of the Losties, but love is the thing that keeps you together even if your wife is pregnant and you decide it's a miracle instead in infidelity. It means you know someone is alive even if they are half the island away. Searching for your son. And staying on a beach just like your wife wanted to back in Australia.
